Canon Grant Carey today. He tripped and fell head first last night, catching his feet on something along a sidewalk after attending a lecture. Two parishioners were with him. The hospital kept him overnight yesterday, and they have not yet completed testing to learn the extent of his injuries.</p>
<h3>Update March 2, 2013</h3>
<p>Canon Carey's health is improving. Fortunately, he did not break any bones in his fall, but he is pretty stiff and sore. He anticipates moving to a treatment center tomorrow. He will get good care there and physical therapy. In 1-2 weeks the plan is for him to return home. He is grateful for everyone's prayers, notes and flowers. </p>

<p>Bishop Lamb has been readmitted to the hospital due to nausea and dizziness. He will spend the night under observation. Your continued prayers are appreciated.</p>
<h3>Update 12/21/2012</h3>
<p>An MRI this morning revealed that Bishop Lamb suffered from a stroke yesterday. He has no deficits, but this kind of stroke is difficult to treat. He is being treated, and after an MRA this afternoon, he is going home tonight. Please continue to pray for Bishop Lamb’s recovery and for Jane Lamb and their entire family in this difficult time.</p>

<p>Please continue to keep Bishop Jerry Lamb and his wife, Jane, in your prayers. He continues to recover at home with the help of his medical team.</p>

<p>Bishop Lamb continues to recover, more every day.  He has consulted with experts and has received the best possible medical care and advice.  He has returned to walking several miles daily with his dogs and to playing golf.  Prayers of thanksgiving are appropriate.  </p>

She had been at Mercy San Juan for the past four weeks, receiving a variety of medical treatments, but getting progressively weaker. Family members have been with her throughout.</p>
<p>Saralu's late husband was the Reverend Emerson Methven, a long-time priest in our diocese who served several parishes, including St. Francis, Fair Oaks and St. James, Lincoln.</p>
