  • A Christmas Message From the Bishop

Dear Friends in Christ, Grace and peace to you, as once again we come to Christmas. Once again, we are invited to the stable and to the manger. We, who are moved by the plight of Syrian refugees, troubled by the rising tide of violence in our homeland, concerned about the health of our planet or find this a time of struggle or loss, see that God has already reached out to us, as we reach out to God for help.

  • A Christmas Message from the Bishop

Dear Friends in Christ: Grace and peace to you. Archbishop Rowan Williams describes waiting as "the boring bit before the exciting bit." I hope that your Advent has been more than simply boring; I hope that it has helped to awaken hope for you, a hope that Christmas now comes to fulfill. These may not seem to be hopeful times.

  • An Easter Message from the Bishop

Dear Friends in Christ: Grace and peace to you. It was not very long ago that we all received the Church's invitation to the observance of a holy Lent. I hope that this Season and its disciplines have been an aid to your spiritual health and growth.

  • An Easter Message from the Bishop

Dear Friends in Christ: At last Lent has ended. The events of Holy Week will reach their climax, and, “Alleluia” will return to the Church. Of course, it did not go far.
