Anti-Racism Workshop

The Intercultural Ministries Commission presents "It’s More Than Just Color." This one-day anti-racism training will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Ascension, Vallejo. The training is open to everyone in the diocese.

“It’s More than Just Color” utilizes small group discussions, videos, Bible study, prayer, and sharing to help participants to better understand key concepts, to wrestle with issues of culture, structural and institutional racism, and power and privilege, and to better see where God calls us to be as brothers and sisters in this multicultural church and culture.

When: Saturday, June 7th; 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Registration Information: Registration is due by Monday, May 26, 2014. Please send a note with your full name, home parish, phone number, email address and home address with a check for $15.00. The commission offers anti-racism training per action taken at the 2009 General Convention (Resolution A142): that all clergy and lay leaders are expected to receive and periodically renew such training.
