Britt Olson has been the Canon to the Ordinary for the Diocese of Northern California since 2006. Previously she served as Canon for Evangelism and Congregational Development in the Diocese of El Camino Real. She provides guidance for congregational development, leadership transition and program development for the 70+ congregations and organizations of the Diocese.
Additional experience includes serving as the Rector of St. Paul’s Sparks, Nevada where over 7 years the congregation doubled in size and began a variety of dynamic ministries. She was ordained in Oregon, is a graduate of CDSP and also studied at Ripon Theological College in Oxford, England. She spends a lot of time on the road but makes her home in Auburn where her husband, Bryon Hansen, is the pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church (ELCA).
