CDSP Celebrates Women and New Events

Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP) celebrates the establishment of the St. Margaret's Visiting Professorship of Women in Ministry on Thursday, November 6, 2014. The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves will preach at the Eucharist and the Rev. Dr. Fran Toy will celebrate. Dr. Jenny Te Paa Daniel, one of the editors of “Anglican Women on Church and Mission" will lead a discussion of the book, with co-editors Dr. Kwok Pui-Lan and Dr. Judith Berling. The Rev. Dr. Paula Nesbitt of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) and Dr. Matthew Price of the Church Pension Group (CPG) will speak, with a panel featuring Te Paa Daniel and CDSP students and graduates to follow.

The 2014 Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission Colloquium:
"Audible Grace: Sacramental Dimensions of Congregational Song"

On Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 7:30 p.m., the Rev. Dr. Carl P. Daw Jr. will host the 2014 Associated Parishes for Liturgy and Mission Colloquium and speak on "Audible Grace: Sacramental Dimensions of Congregational Song."  He is an adjunct professor of hymnology and curator of the hymnological collections at Boston University's School of Theology. He is the author of four collections of hymns and numerous essays, and co-author of “Liturgical Music for the Revised Common Lectionary.” CDSP Professor George Emblom will give the response.keley
