“Ask, and you will receive. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you… The one who knocks, enters.” ( Matthew 7:7 & 8)
On Friday, September 9 at 7 pm, the Rt. Rev. Barry Beisner, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, will knock at the doors of 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd.
The wardens of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Roseville will open the doors and the traditional procession of church ministers followed by parishioners and others will enter.
The sanctuary building will then be consecrated. The ceremony will include blessing of new altar pieces. These include the baptismal font, altar, pulpit and special tables. The grand piano and new pipe organ will also receive blessings by the bishop.
The service will include both baptism of new members and confirmation of members by the bishop. Ashes of the deceased also will be interned in the columbarium located inside the church.
“You are joyfully invited to this celebration as we consecrate our new facility,” states the Rev. Clifford Haggenjos, Rector of St. John’s.
