Please come and be our guest!

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Benicia is proud to announce an event featuring Anisa Mehdi, documentary filmmaker and co-director of the Abraham Path Initiative.

Join us for a conversation with Anisa Mehdi as she shares her experiences along the path of Abraham. In addition to her work with the Abraham Path Initiative, Anisa Mehdi is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and filmmaker specializing in religion and the arts. She teaches documentary film at Seton Hall University, and lectures internationally on filmmaking and on Islam and the media.

The Abraham Path Initiative is cultivating a hiking path which follows the path of Abraham through the Middle East. Many faiths claim Abraham as an ancestor. Walking along his path together allows people of diverse backgrounds to discover their common stories and to experience the region’s tradition of radical hospitality. It will be a powerful tool for peace and development in the region.

Stay tuned for more news about this project’s embodiment in Northern California! St. Paul’s is committed to following Abraham’s principles of hospitality and relationship, of seeking out common paths and common stories, right here in our community.

Ms. Mehdi will speak to us about her work in the Middle East as well as its value for our lives here, today. The event is free of charge and will be followed by a reception.

For groups of eight or more, please RSVP by emailing abrahampath.benicia@gmail.com.
