  • Nominees for diocesan office, General Convention deputies, announced

    From John Miller, Chair of the Nominations Committee It is my great honor to announce to you that the diocese has received 31 nominations for our Nov. 7-9 Diocesan Convention, and that all five elections scheduled have enough candidates to be contested. Because of this, we will not need a second period of reopened nominations this year.

  • Diocesan Convention theme announced; registration now open

    Dear Friends in Christ, I would like to invite you attend our Annual Diocesan Convention with me this November. This year, there will be an intentional theme to our gathering, a theme that echoes where we are in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. I’ve chosen the theme because we have a unique opportunity, at the beginning of this episcopate, to look at where we are and where we’d like to go and chart a course toward that goal.

  • Convention Locations Announced

    The Office of the Bishop is excited to announce the locations for the 2013 and 2014 Diocesan Conventions. We will be continuing with the recent pattern of holding a one-day Convention for two years, followed by a three-day Convention with a guest speaker and a banquet in the year we elect General Convention Deputies. We will elect Deputies to General Convention in 2013.

  • Convention Office Closure Notice

    The Office of the Bishop will be closed on Friday, November 11 for Diocesan Convention. The office will also be closed on Monday, November 14 in observance of Veteran's Day. Normal office hours will resume on Tuesday, November 15.

  • Convention Deadlines - October 15

    October 15th marks the final deadline for several Diocesan Convention items. Please make special note of any that may apply to you. Registration for all items must be received at the Office of the Bishop by October 15, 2011.  Childcare: Childcare is available for children of clergy and delegates during Friday night’s opening Eucharist and Saturday’s business session.

    Online registration for this year's Diocesan Convention is now open! All materials for the 2011 Diocesan Convention, November 11 & 12 in Redding, have been placed in the mail and are now available online at www.norcalepiscopal.org/convention for your convenience. NEW THIS YEAR: Online Registration requires that you pay via PayPal secure online transaction --either using a credit card or checking account.
