Diocesan Generosity Continues

Diocesan Generosity Continues

by Jane Snibbe, Diocesan Coordinator, Episcopal Relief & Development

We have recently received the totals for the 2014 donations to Episcopal Relief & Development from The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. With great thanks to parishes and individuals, your generosity continues!

In 2014, 927 donors (both parishes and individuals) gave a total of $109,341.29 for domestic disaster relief and international development in four key areas: hunger and food supply; economic opportunities, including micro-credit loans; promoting health; and rebuilding communities after disasters.

It is hoped that congregations will continue to highlight the work of Episcopal Relief & Development during a Sunday service, and emphasize a water project, as we voted for at our 2014 Diocesan Convention. There are a number of projects to consider. More ideas and information can be found at www.episcopalrelief.org.

And please contact Diocesan Coordinator for Episcopal Relief & Development Jane Snibbe for assistance with creating a “Carry the Water” project in your congregation. Jane can be reached via email at dickjanespot@comcast.net or via phone at 707-894-8558.

Thanks be to God for the continuing generosity of the people and congregations of The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.
