  • 2016 CDSP Youth Ministry Symposium

    by Anne Clarke, Lifelong Christian Faith Formation Coordinator, The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California The Fourth Annual Youth Ministry Symposium at Church Divinity School of the Pacific will be held on April 9, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. This year's focus is on the challenges young people face when they become aware of their own economic, racial, gender, and political privilege in the context of mission trips and service projects.

  • Diocesan Holy Week Celebrations

    by The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California Holy Week is the week before Easter, beginning with the Sunday of the Passion or Palm Sunday. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday are known as the "Triduum," and the liturgies on these days commemorate the events leading up to Jesus' resurrection. Holy Week ends with the Easter Vigil, usually celebrated at sundown the night before Easter.

  • Youth Serve in North Sacramento

    by Sierra Service Project Over two weekends, January 16th-18th and February 13th-15th, nearly 100 volunteers have gathered to serve the community of North Sacramento and put their faith into action in 2015. Over half of these volunteers came from seven different Episcopal churches from The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. Youth and adults worked with groups from other churches in North Sacramento, as part of Sierra Service Project’s Weekends of Service program.
