Often it is the most inspirational stories of faith journey among Episcopalians that require the greatest of digging to unearth. Unspoken, these stories are like buried treasures that, when shared, prove the most compelling examples of God’s great work. In considering the next issue of our diocesan print magazine, “Together in Mission,” the Communications Commission would like to feature some of the inspiring stories and reflections of faith of our fellow Episcopalians throughout Northern California.
We would like to provide a vast range of faith journey stories, sharing perspectives from those who may have just entered Seminary or who may have just graduated, to those who have served in leadership and ministry roles throughout our diocese for many years. Have you served in a ministry leadership role for more than twenty years? For less than one year? Have you heard the calling to ministry and perhaps learned along the way that it was a calling to another position of leadership, such as lay ministry? Were you called at a particularly early age? Perhaps at a later age? We would like to hear from you!
We will compile and consider stories submitted prior to our publication deadline, which is September 15, 2012. Please send your submissions (in range from 300 to 2000 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to include your name in full, the congregation with which you are affiliated, and any captions for photos you might include.
