Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday

Episcopal Relief & Development Sunday

by Jane Snibbe, Diocesan Coordinator for Episcopal Relief & Development

Congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California will recognize the work of Episcopal Relief & Development on a special Sunday during Lent. Bishop Beisner has asked that we observe this Sunday on April 6th, the 5th Sunday of Lent.

There are special bulletin inserts available at www.episcopalrelief.org/Lent/ which describe the work of the Episcopal Church in working with local partners to empower individuals and families to become economically self-sufficient. A Lenten donation is requested as a response to recognizing this work.

For more information on other resources for planning, and specifics of various programs, where they are located and with whom Episcopal Relief & Development partners, go to www.episcopalrelief.org

“Lent gives us an opportunity to reflect on how our actions affect the lives of others, and commit to making mindful choices as consumers and global citizens,” said Sean McConnell, Director of Engagement for Episcopal Relief & Development.

All donations from congregations and individuals are sent to:
Episcopal Relief & Development
PO Box 7058
Merrifield, VA 22116-7058

Thanks be to God for the generosity of Episcopalians in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California to “Healing a hurting world.”
