The Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) will take place June 22-26, 2011 in St. Paul, Minnesota. EYE is a triennial event that brings together high school students from across the country as well as the larger Anglican Communion. The event is jam packed with fun and excitement and provides participants with the opportunity to meet Episcopal youth from all over the world and experience church on a global level. To attend you must be a youth in the 9th-12th grade during the 2010-2011 school year.
Participants are lodged in the host facility’s dorms and eat meals at the campus dining facilities. The event community gathers regularly as a large group for worship, programs, music and media. Participants also meet daily in ongoing small groups. A variety of activities such as carnivals, forums, workshops, sports/recreation and free time help round out the schedule.
The cost of the event is $800, and covers the following: 4 nights and 5 days in St. Paul, meals, registration fee and a round trip plane ticket. Limited scholarships are available if needed. We also encourage you to fundraise through your congregation!
Each diocese is allowed only a select few participants, and it is important to note that all participants are expected to be present for the entire week. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting event, please contact Monica Romano for registration information.
