Ed Bacon to keynote Equipping the Beloved Community on August 27th

A progressive spokesperson on issues of faith and justice for all regardless of race, gender, faith, or sexual orientation, and recently retired as rector of All Saints Church in Pasadena, Ed Bacon will deliver the keynote address for the Saturday, August 27, 2016 Equipping the Beloved Community event hosted by the Contra Costa Deanery.

Cost: $25.00

The theme of the event is Common/Wealth: "Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul… there was not a needy person among them,” and will feature training to support ministries with young people, stewardship, lay pastoral care, congregational leadership (with Caroline McCall) and Eucharistic Ministers an Visitors. Lunch, worship, and a chance to meet and enjoy Episcopalians from neighboring congregations rounds out the day.
