Dear Friends in Christ:
Today the Diocese of Western Massachusetts made public its list of nominees to be their next Bishop. Our very own Ron Griffin, Rector of Christ Church, Eureka and Dean of Semper Virens Deanery is among them. While the prospect of losing Ron+ to another diocese is not a happy one to the many of us who know and value his ministry in Northern California, still we are pleased and proud to see him receive this affirmation from the larger church.
The 'walkabouts' are May 21-24, and the election is scheduled for June 2. Please join me in congratulating Ron+ and in praying for him, for his wife, Charlotte, for the people of Christ Church, and Semper Virens, and for the Diocese of Western MA these next several weeks.
