Holy Currencies: Creating Sustainable Ministry

Holy Currencies: Creating Sustainable Ministry

Mon, February 27, 2012

Come to the Kaleidoscope Winter Institute for "Holy Currencies: Creating Sustainable Missional Ministries." Most churches are not poor. They are only poor when they use money as the only currency to measure their success. This workshop invites participants to explore 5 other currencies besides money: Time and Place, Gracious Leadership, Relationship, Truth and Wellness. We believe that all six currencies must be flowing and recirculating in order to for a ministry to be missional and sustainable. Through presentations, discussions and exercises, this workshop provides participants with theological and practical methods to transform local ministries-moving them from focusing on fear to grace, from holding onto power to sharing blessings, and from maintenance to authentic relational expression of their ministries. In this time of economic hard-time for many communities, learning how the these currencies flow in the cycle of blessings will help church communities to do more with less by practicing what we called "GracEconomic." When: February 27-March 2, 2012; Where: Cathedral Center of St. Paul, 840 Echo Park Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90026 Los Angeles, CA 90026; Register online at www.kscopeinstitute.org.
