In our diocese, June 9th and 16th were days of celebration. The Rev. Virginia McNeely, the Rev. Gary Brown, the Rev. Janine Schenone, and the Rev. Steven Yurosko became the newest members of our clergy family at Trinity Cathedral in Sacramento.
"Our service was lovely, but what I appreciated most was that so many deacons from our diocese and friends and family from elsewhere attended. I only wish I had had the time to visit with more of them," said the Rev. Virginia McNeely of the Ordination to the Vocational Diaconate on June 9th.
Seminarian Megan Anderson said,"It was wonderful to be back at that cathedral with old friends (some of whom were also back) from all around the diocese. It was a beautifully moving service and especially powerful to see my Yale Divinity classmate and friend, Janine finally be ordained." Megan attended the June 16th ordination to the Transitional Diaconate.
