Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator

Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator

by Anne Clarke, Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator, The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California

Hello from your new Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator! I have really enjoyed these first few weeks getting to know our diocese in a new way. From Clergy Conference to the College for Congregational Development to meeting people inside and outside the Office of the Bishop, I have felt warmly welcomed and grateful for all the interesting conversations I have had so far.

My title, Lifelong Christian Formation Coordinator, covers a lot of territory: everyone from babies to older adults, and all of the various ways in which we are formed as members of the body of Christ, everything from Bible study to youth group to service projects to prayer. I have already had some glimpses of the unique incarnations of the ways we are already helping each other grow as disciples and communities in The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.

Over the next few weeks, I will attend General Convention and help to lead our diocese’s Youth and Young Adult Pilgrimage to North Carolina. In between these trips, I am working to curate some helpful resources for Christian formation as we all gear up for the beginning of the program year in the fall. Be on the lookout for more communication about all those things as the summer continues.

The most important work that I am doing in these first few months is getting to know all of you, and so if you have an interest in Christian formation of any kind, please send me an email or give me a call!
