Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice: Listen for a Change

Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento will host “Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice: Listen for a Change,” a six-week series of sacred and respectful conversations around race. There is no charge for this series designed to help us better understand racial tensions in the Sacramento area and our country, so that we can respond in an informed and compassionate way.

Thursday, February 4th will be the kick off for these conversations and will feature a video presentation of the Most Rev. Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, the first African American elected to that office. The series includes six keynote speakers via the Internet, followed by facilitated discussions in small groups. These speakers come out of a program from Trinity Institute in New York City.

If you would like to join these sacred conversations, please join us for the opening general session on Thursday February 4th at 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Cathedral. Small groups will meet at various dates, times and locations throughout the subsequent six weeks. Participants will have the opportunity to sign-up for small groups at the opening session or by contacting Trinity Cathedral at the phone number listed below. It is not necessary to attend the general session to participate in the Sacred Conversation small groups.
