The Ordination Coordinator is a part-time position in the Office of the Bishop. In this position, I will be working with the Bishop, the Diocesan Commission on Ministry and the Standing Committee to coordinate, facilitate and support an efficient and effective ordination process for The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. I joined the Office of the Bishop staff in January 2016 as Ordinations Coordinator.
My work background is in accounting and administration, working primarily for nonprofits. I have been a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Carmichael for over 30 years, where I have held full-time and part-time positions and served in ministries too numerous to mention. I also worked at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Sacramento, while attending college. Since retiring from full-time work in 2007, I have worked part-time at St. Michael’s and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Sacramento.
My family moved to Sacramento in 1978 from the Monterey Bay area, so my husband and I could complete our education at California State University in Sacramento, which I did almost 20 years later! I have three children, and a stepson, who have given me six beautiful, talented and delightful grandchildren. In addition to being a busy grandmother, I also enjoy volunteer work, reading, gardening, needlework, almost anything outdoors, and catching up with friends. My current goal is to learn to play the piano.
