Meet the Administration and Finance Team

The Administration and Finance Team is composed of Office of the Bishop staff members and accounting professional staff from Utonomy, a regional financial accounting services company specializing in non-profits.

Office of the Bishop Staff

Lisa Bruno is our Director of Finance & Administration. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. As a CPA with over 20 years of professional experience at a regional public accounting firm, she directs the financial and administrative activities of the diocese. Danea Thomas is our Accountant. With over 15 years of experience in accounting and business management, Danea has spent the last few years focused on accounting for various nonprofit and faith-based organizations. Salena Vela is our Benefits Coordinator and Accounting Specialist. She graduated from the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources Management. She has worked in public and private sector government agencies in various administrative, management, and human resources roles. Utonomy Staff

Brenda Paredes is our Accountant from Utonomy. She serves as an accountant for various Utonomy clients and is also Utonomy’s Chief Operating Officer. She has seven years of experience working at non-profit organizations in varying administrative, management, and financial roles. Brenda holds a bookkeeping certificate, a Bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento. Utonomy staff are integrated into the team or staff of each organization where they work offering financial accounting services and expertise from basic bookkeeping all the way up to the CFO level.

I attend Grace Church in Wheatland, CA. I am trying to create an Excel spreadsheet of our Parish Registers, however our registers begin in 1921 with "Book II".

Is it possible that "Book I" is in your archives someplace? I know a lot of records were lost in your fire. Wheatland had several fires over the years, too.

I have a feeling that we may never be able to find the missing book - but maybe it still exists somewhere.
