Greetings! I am excited to begin my position at the Diocese of Northern California as the new Office Manager and News Editor. I am moving to Sacramento from Omaha, Nebraska and I am looking forward to getting to know more about the diocese and its wonderful people.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Master’s degree in Communication Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Technical Writing and Professional Communication from Kansas State University. Additionally, I have experience in the field of non-profit communication, and I have served in numerous leadership positions in both parish and diocesan levels. I am greatly looking forward to utilizing my passion for both communication and ministry in this position.
I have been an Episcopalian for about 10 years, and have been involved in numerous areas of ministry. In Omaha, my family and I attend All Saints Episcopal Church and we love the wonderful people and the ever-present attitude of service and outreach ingrained in this community. I truly love the church and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve in this new position.
I also have a passion for travel. My family and I love to take road trips across the country and often travel to new places on vacations. I have spent some time traveling overseas throughout Europe. I particularly enjoyed my time in Switzerland and Italy, where the beauty of the landscape and the vibrant culture of the people are wonderful. I am looking forward to exploring all of the diverse locations in the diocese and seeing all of the beauty California has to offer.
