    The Office of the Bishop is pleased to announce that Mary Ellen Ferguson has joined our staff as the new Ordination Coordinator! The Ordination Coordinator is a part-time position in the Office of the Bishop. In this position, Mary Ellen will be working with the Bishop, the Diocesan Commission on Ministry and the Standing Committee to coordinate, facilitate and support an efficient and effective ordination process for The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.

    The Office of the Bishop is pleased to announce that Sandra Littman joined the Office of the Bishop Staff as Administrative Assistant to the Bishop on December 17, 2015. Sandra is an administrative support professional, and has been working in this field for the past fifteen years. She will be in charge of scheduling and meeting coordination for Bishop Beisner, as well as managing the Bishop's visitation calendar.

    by The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California The Office of the Bishop would like to thank Lisa Sargent, Ordination Process Coordinator, for her service to the diocese and to our staff. She was hired to streamline and regulate the ordination process and associated paperwork. Having accomplished this, Lisa will be moving on from this position at the end of January 2016.

At this time, we would like to share a few updates about transitions within our office support staff: · Elizabeth (Liz) Vang has joined our staff, as the new front desk Receptionist and Administrative Assistant. · Jacqi McKinney, Administrative Assistant to Canon Andrea McMillin, continues in this position.

    The Office of the Bishop is pleased to announce that on June 26th Colleen Morrison joined our staff as the new Administrative Assistant to the Bishop! Colleen recently relocated from the Washington State Olympic Peninsula, where she was an active member of St. Bede Episcopal Church in Port Orchard.

    The Office of the Bishop is pleased to announce that on May 26th Jacqi McKinney joined our staff as the new Administrative Assistant to the Canon to the Ordinary! Jacqi is originally from Orange County, California and moved to San Francisco in 2004 to complete her BA in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University. She also has a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San Jose State University.

The Ordination Process Coordinator is a new part-time position in the Office of the Bishop. In this position, Lisa will be working with the Bishop, the Diocesan Commission on Ministry and the Standing Committee to coordinate, facilitate and support an efficient and effective ordination process for the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California.

    The Office of the Bishop will be closed for Staff Development Day on Thursday, June 12, 2014. The office will reopen, and staff will return to the office on Friday, June 13, 2014.   • New Communication Support Agent

    The Office of the Bishop welcomes Elsa Dooling to our staff as the new Communication Support Agent! Elsa will be responsible for the Online News Room on the diocesan website, the diocesan electronic newsletters and providing support for diocesan events. Elsa comes to us with a rich and diverse background with a strong concentration in nonprofit administration, communications, business management, community organizing, writing and teaching.

  • Office of the Bishop Closed

    The Office of the Bishop will be closed on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 for a Staff Development Day. The office will re-open and staff will return to the office on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Please join us in prayer: Everliving God, whose will it is that all should come to you through your Son Jesus Christ: Inspire our witness to him, that all may know the power of his forgiveness and the hope of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.

  • Staffing Transitions

    Jenifer Campo, executive assistant to Bishop Barry Beisner for the past six years, has accepted a position with Principal Funds, an asset management company in El Dorado Hills, where she will provide support to the director of marketing. While she is excited about this new step in her personal journey, she will miss her many friends and colleagues in our diocese. Jenifer's last day at the Office of the Bishop will be September 4th.

  • Spring Staffing Changes

    by Keri Lopez, Director of Communications   This Spring will bring a few changes to the Office of the Bishop staff. Caitlin Gutenberger, who has so wonderfully served as the diocesan Communications Coordinator/News Editor for the past year and a half, will be leaving us to further her music career. As many of you may know she is both a member of her own band, Two Sheds, which plays locally, as well as with a band called Release the Sunbird (RTS), which has recently gone on tour nationally!

  • Office of the Bishop Seeks Volunteers

    We are currently looking for energetic, friendly front desk volunteers who will help with reception, filing, mailings, and computer projects. This is a reception/clerical volunteer position. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a 4 hour shift once a week.
