Responding to Refugees Online Training

Responding to Refugees Online Training

by Anne Clarke, Lifelong Christian Faith Formation Coordinator, The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California

A new learning opportunity is being offered through ChurchNext called Responding to Refugees with Allison Duvall, Program Manager for Episcopal Migration Ministries.

Learn about refugees, resettlement, and how Christians might consider, and relieve, their plight. Allison Duvall  invites us to understand and come alongside those whom the Bible asks us to care for. This course is ideal for those wishing to learn more about refugee and resettlement issues, particularly if a congregation is considering ministering to refugees in its community.

This would be a great adult forum for your congregation during Lent, and it is also available for individual study.

Each course features 3-6 video lectures that are from 5-7 minutes in length. Also included are downloadable Mp3s of each lecture, plus Discussion Questions and a one-page synopsis of the course called The Takeaway.

If you need any help getting started with ChurchNext, or want to talk about how it might work for your congregation as a learning tool, please contact Anne Clarke at
