Our last lunch with retired clergy and spouses/partners, including surviving spouses, occurred November 30, 2015, at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church in Rocklin. The 18 participants celebrated a simple Eucharist and then enjoyed a catered lunch with lots of lively sharing of current activities. Those who attended were eager to “do it again!” The goal is to host such lunches around the diocese twice a year.
The Rev. Christine Leigh-Taylor, also retired, is chaplain to the retired clergy group. If you would like to propose a topic, share a concern or just have a conversation, she is available at leighta@mcn.org or (916-704-8698). Christine+ was formerly rector at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church in Rancho Cordova, and is now an Associate at Church of Our Saviour in Placerville.
To RSVP for this event, please contact Sandra Littman, Administrative Assistant to the Bishop, at sandra@norcalepiscopal.org or call 916-442-6918 ext. 213.
