Special Announcement: YAYA Ministries
Dear Friends in Ministry,
A little over four years ago, during a time of great transition in our diocese, it was my pleasure to accept the call to serve as the diocesan Youth & Young Adult Ministries (YAYA) Coordinator. Throughout my ministry in this diocese, I have been blessed to grow in relationship with a wide variety of wonderfully dedicated lay, ordained, paid and volunteer ministers. Together we have experienced numerous blessings, challenges and successes.

Therefore, it is with both excitement and sadness that I share with you an unexpected opportunity that has come into my life. I have accepted a call to serve as a development associate for a not-for-profit environmental organization in my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. While I will very much miss our shared ministry here in beautiful Northern California, I am excited for this new chapter, that my time with you--and especially my close work with Camp Noel Porter and Camp Living Waters--has readied me for.
The Bishop and Board of Trustees will be working on a plan to continue the diocesan strategic focus on youth and young adult ministry and your input will be important. During this time of transition, please contact Canon Britt Olson if you have any concerns or questions.
My final day in the office will be January 22, 2014, and until then you can continue to reach me via email and via phone at 916-442-6918, ext. 221. Thank you for your prayers during this transition; please know you will remain in mine.
With gratitude,
Monica A. Romano
Youth & Young Adult Ministries Coordinator
