My name is Thea Mangels and I am the Office Manager/News Editor for the Office of the Bishop. I am a lifelong Episcopalian. I have a degree in history from the University of California at Davis. I have been involved in ministry in the Diocese of Northern California in many different ways. In my home parish, St. George’s in Carmichael, I have served as an Acolyte and as Acolyte Coordinator, as a vestry member, as senior warden, as a choir member, and I am currently a member of the evangelism committee. In the Diocese I have served in youth and young adult ministries, as a deputy to general convention, on Diocesan Council, and on the Millennium Development Goals Task Force.
I have been the Office Coordinator for three years. Before that, I worked as a temp at the Bishop’s Office helping with office needs and working on the Visioning Conference. I began my duties as News Editor in March of this year.
