  • Diocesan Holy Week Celebrations

    by The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California Holy Week is the week before Easter, beginning with the Sunday of the Passion or Palm Sunday. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday are known as the "Triduum," and the liturgies on these days commemorate the events leading up to Jesus' resurrection. Holy Week ends with the Easter Vigil, usually celebrated at sundown the night before Easter.

    Honoring Veterans with a Weekend of Service by Chuck Schaller, Adult Counselor, St. Michael's, Carmichael Twenty-four youth and adult counselors from four Northern California churches spent Veteran’s Day weekend making a difference in their community – a small gift to those who gave so much so that we can enjoy and help others to enjoy the great life we have in this country. We cleaned and repaired a home for a woman who gives a lot to her community but needed a helping hand to brighten her life...
