In July 2011, South Sacramento’s chaplain and manager of Spiritual Care Services, Rev. Art Lillicropp, was diagnosed with leukemia and took a leave of absence to work on his healing and recovery.
Shortly after his recent return to work, Rev. Lillicropp was welcomed back with a beautiful quilt, consisting of
individual patches handmade by Emergency Department staff.
This month, Lillicropp's cancer was officially declared to be in remission—joyful news to him and many others.
"While Art has received this beautiful gift from our ED community, Art brings his own bountiful gifts to us every day," said Trish Rodriguez, RN, Senior Vice President and Area Manager. "He embodies support, love, grace and caring. We are so fortunate that he is a member of our team."
Welcome back, Art!
