**Application deadline extended to May 15, 2026**
The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California is pleased to announce the launch of a three-year curacy program starting on July 1, 2026. There are three open positions for newly ordained clergy, each of which will serve a different pair of churches.
Successful candidates will serve in two contexts: with a mentor rector at a thriving congregation, and as priest-in-charge at a small congregation. Candidates will apply to the program generally, but may express their preference for a particular placement at each stage of the interview process.
For more information about the three available placements, please see the job descriptions in the drop-down menu below.
The program will be resource-rich with supporting education and presents a unique opportunity to practice ministry in nearby churches with very different charisms.
A full three-year commitment is required.
Starting salary is $80,000, plus full benefits (medical, dental, pension, vacation, continuing education), with annual cost of living increases.
