With a background in education and nonprofit work\, she wears more hats than she probably ought\, but mostly just enjoys playing with words\, a lot. She has been featured in national media outlets such as The Oregonian\, The New York Times\, The Living Church\, The Christian Century\, and Baptist News Global\, among others. DESCRIPTION:Becoming Beloved Community \nIn honor of Black History Month \nMartin Luther King\, Jr.’s Vision:  A Conversation \nJourney to the meaning\, history\, and current reality of Becoming Beloved Community\, a tenet of Dr. King’s and a way of life that stresses wholeness for humanity. \nJennifer Snow\, scholar and author of Mission Race and Empire\, will sketch the history and theology of this way of life\, from a 1913 philosophy lecture\, through activists\, priests\, and churches. \nKirstyne Lange\, President of the Santa Rosa/Sonoma County NAACP\, will describe the present state of Sonoma County racial justice experience. \nStephen Shaver\, Rector of The Church of Incarnation\, will offer a pastor’s view of how a thriving church strives for Beloved Community. \nSunday\, February 22\, 2026 – 3-5 PM \nChurch of the Incarnation \n550 Mendocino Ave\, Santa Rosa\, CA 95404 \nA reception in the parish hall starts the event.  It continues in the Church with a panel discussion\, audience participation\, and live stream. \nRegister Here \n
