Reverend Brother Simeon Powell, CG (Cherokee/Saponi) He and his wife, Anne, are Deacons-in-Residence at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Rocklin, CA. He is a graduate of the Episcopal School for Deacons, Berkeley, CA. He was ordained in Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, CA. He is the former Archdeacon of the Diocese of the Rio Grande and Episcopal Chaplain for the University of New Mexico. He has represented the Episcopal Church to the Anglican Indigenous Network. Brother Simeon is an advocate for addressing the effects of the Doctrine of Discovery in the Church and authored Indigenous Lands Acknowledgement Resolution approved in 2022.
