The Rev. Ken Erickson was born and grew up in Chicago, and was baptized and confirmed in the Swedish Evangelical Covenant Church.  During college, he began attending an Episcopal Church where one of his English professors was an assisting priest, and that is where he found his spiritual home.  Through the encouragement of the brothers at the Society of St John the Evangelist, he found his way eventually to Duke Divinity School, and was ordained in the Diocese of North Carolina by Bishop Michael Curry.  Since then, Ken has served parishes in the dioceses of Oregon, Chicago and Michigan.

For the last ten years, through the invitation of a family member to consider a change, he took a challenging detour and managed 400 acres of walnuts, almonds, pecans and olives here in Sutter County. With gratitude and delight for God’s good timing, Ken looks forward to supporting the mission and ministries of our diocese.
