You don’t have to have a seminary education—or even to have been raised in The Episcopal Church—to guide your congregation’s youth to the sacrament of Confirmation! Total ministry team members can be empowered to lead confirmation preparation with a commitment to the journey and good materials in their hands. From Scripture to Sacraments, the topics covered in Confirm Not Conform (online at www.confirmnotconform.com) encourage young people to “claim their faith for themselves.” Youth are invited to wrestle with their beliefs in the context of The Episcopal Church and learn skills for articulating their faith journey. Pricing for this curriculum is based on a congregation’s average Sunday attendance.
The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama offers for free to congregations throughout The Episcopal Church a comprehensive confirmation curriculum for both youth and adults. The program, online at www.diola.org/formation/cf-confirmation, is segmented into three topic areas: The Christian Faith, Episcopal Identity, and Responding to God’s Love. Each lesson includes Scripture references, goals for the lesson, activity ideas, handouts, and background information for lesson leaders.
