In honor of Black History Month
Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Vision: A Conversation
Journey to the meaning, history, and current reality of Becoming Beloved Community, a tenet of Dr. King’s and a way of life that stresses wholeness for humanity.
Jennifer Snow, scholar and author of Mission Race and Empire, will sketch the history and theology of this way of life, from a 1913 philosophy lecture, through activists, priests, and churches.
Kirstyne Lange, President of the Santa Rosa/Sonoma County NAACP, will describe the present state of Sonoma County racial justice experience.
Stephen Shaver, Rector of The Church of Incarnation, will offer a pastor’s view of how a thriving church strives for Beloved Community.
