The 13th Annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence will be held on December 10. A live vigil will be held in Washington, D.C. and churches are encouraged to hold an observance in their Sunday services on either Dec. 7 or Dec. 14.
This national vigil has taken place since the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. Since that time, 1.3 million persons have been killed or injured by gun violence in our country, according to the National Vigil website. An average of 9 children die every day from gun violence.
