The Yolo County Good Neighbor Team is excitedly anticipating the arrival of an Afghan Refugee family in Sacramento.  The family, father, mother, and four young boys, fled the violence in their country, and have endured a long trek to reach their new home here in Northern California.  The Good Neighbor Team (GNT) will assist World Relief, the official resettlement agency, in welcoming and helping the family settle into their new home and get linked to community services. The Interfaith GNT has members from Davis Community Church, Congregation Bet Haverim, Davis Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church of the Incarnation, and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Woodland.  Several of the GNT members are shown in the above photo.
