Director of Formation
Lupita Arim-Law was born and raised in a Mexican American Roman Catholic family in Whittier, California. She married in the Bay Area and raised her family in Chico, where they are active members of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Having experienced the transformative impact of God’s love, grace, and mercy, she is excited to build and nurture networks across the diocese in support of Christian formation and identity.
Lupita was called to serve her community and church over twenty years ago and responded by participating in various affinity groups, boards of directors, working at the CSU and serving on the City of Chico Planning Commission. She is a community organizer and has managed diverse stakeholder groups for various campaigns and causes. Lupita also brings two decades of experience in children and youth ministry with the United Methodist Church. She received B.A. in political science and a master’s in public administration from Chico State University.
Lupita enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel and three adult kids. She also loves hosting dinners and going on long walks with friends and family, discussing current events and things of the heart.
